"T-Will" in China

Former Louisville Cardinal and fan favorite Terrence Williams signed a one-year contract with the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association last week. Williams was waived by the Detroit Pistons in October and was unable to land a roster spot with another NBA team.
Williams was the 11th player drafted by the New Jersey Nets in 2009. In December of 2010 the Nets traded Williams to the Houston Rockets in a 3-team trade that included the Los Angeles Lakers. In March of 2012 he was waived by the Rockets but was picked up by the Sacramento Kings for the remainder of the season. In his three years in the NBA, Williams averaged 7 points, 4 rebounds a game.
As a senior co-captain of Louisville’s 2008-2009 team Williams help lead Louisville to their first Big East regular season title as well as the Big East Tournament Championship. Louisville was also picked as the #1 overall seed for the NCAA Tournament before falling to Michigan St. in the Elite Eight in Williams’ final game as a Cardinal. For his career at Louisville Terrence averaged 11 points 6.8 rebounds a game. We wish Terrence the best of luck in China and hope to see him in an NBA jersey in the near future.
