Louisville Shocked in 3OT

Chad Christen kicked a 30 yard field goal in the third overtime shocking the 20th ranked Cardinals on senior day, 23-20. Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater had thrown an interception in the end zone on their previous possession leaving the Huskies needing only a field goal to win it.
The Louisville rushing attack for the 2nd straight game was nonexistent. Bridgewater had to carry the load and was hit numerous times and even had to be relieved in the 3rd quarter after breaking a bone in his left hand. Teddy returned in the 4th quarter to lead a 92 yard drive in the final minutes to tie the game and send it into overtime. He was 30-53 for 331 yards and a touchdown.
The loss drops Louisville to 4-2 in The Big East with one game remaining Thursday night at Rutgers. A win over the Scarlet Knights would keep BCS Bowl hopes alive. A Rutgers win would give them the outright conference title. However it is possible if Cincinnati wins at UCONN and Louisville beats Rutgers there would be a four-way tie with Syracuse. The conference champion would then be decided by the highest ranked team.  First we need a win on Thursday for any chance to get back to the Orange Bowl.
