Cardinal Stadium Gets a New Turf

As the football team has been elevated to a higher status in the past few years, so does the field.  That’s right, as most of you know, Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium has been undergoing a turf replacement at their fabulous stadium.  The current turf has been in use for a decade and was original turf.  The new surface being put in is FieldTurf, a very big upgrade for the Cards.  Another major change is the midfield logo, going from the original cardinal bird to the now very-much-in-use cardinal head, as seen below.  Stay with Big Red Louie for turf updates, as it’s expected to be completed in the coming weeks.  Also follow @uoflfootball on twitter, as they’re constantly posting updates and pictures of the new turf.
