Louisville Softball Earns 15 Overall Seed

As it was announced yesterday evening, the Louisville Softball Team, after coming off a successful 46-win season, have earned the 15 overall seed for this year’s NCAA Tournament, as well as getting the honor of hosting regionals at Ulmer Stadium.  Other teams in Louisville’s region include IPFW (32-14), which is the team that they will face first at 7:30 on Friday.  The other teams, UAB (37-16) and UCLA (37-18) will also play each other.

Louisville is obviously trying to improve upon their disappointing finish last season.  After having a spectacular 55-5 start, the Cards failed to make Super Regionals, something they’ve never been able to accomplish.  Hopefully this season is different, seeing as the fact that Louisville is by far the best team in their region.  That’s no given, as we’ve seen, but it’s definitely a start.
