Coach Strong and staff are coming into their fourth season with the Cardinals and Strong is calling on his players to step up and become leaders. Teddy Bridgewater is the obvious offensive leader and has proved himself over and over. The team now looks to the other side of the ball for a leader.
The Cardinals enter this season with more returning seniors and more starting seniors than last year. This is Strong’s first year with all the players he recruited. Louisville now has players who have played in the system and are accustom to the style of play.
Strong and the Cardinals are looking to senior linebacker Preston Brown to step into the role. This will be Brown’s third year as a starter and lead the team in tackles with 109 a season ago, 13 in the Sugar Bowl win against Florida.
There are high standards for Strong and the Cards this year, and they are counting on their seniors to step up and take charge going into the season.
