Louisville Super Regional Dates and Times Announced

After Vanderbilt’s win over Georgia Tech earlier today to earn a spot in the Super Regionals, we now know that the Cardinals will rematch the Commodores in Nashville later this week.  It will definitely be a great pitching series and the Cards will for sure want to avenge the 10-2 thrashing they received from Vandy earlier this season in the Battle for the Barrel.  These two teams have quite the postseason history, this being the third time they’ve met in the postseason in the past five seasons.

  • GAME 1:  Saturday, June 8th at 3 pm.  Game will be aired on ESPN
  • GAME 2:  Sunday, June 9th at 4 pm.  Game will be on ESPN
  • GAME 3 (if necessary):  Monday, June 10th at 7 pm.  Game will be on ESPN2

The following is a paragraph regarding ticket info from a UofL Press Release:

A limited number of all-session tickets for the Super Regional in Nashville, at a cost of $65 for all three games, will be available to Cardinal Athletic Fund members only until 9 a.m., ET on Wednesday either in person at the UofL Ticket Office at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium or online through the My Cardinal Account website. Any remaining tickets in the University of Louisville allotment will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday at 9 a.m., ET.

Here we go.  Winner of this series goes to Omaha.  Louisville is looking good after winning three straight in their region, and Vandy is looking vulnerable after losing one in theirs.  It appears the Commodores are beatable.  Louisville just needs to find those weaknesses.
