Louisville Offers Scholarship to 2015 Big Man Stephen Zimmerman

News came yesterday that the Louisville Cardinals Basketball team had offered a scholarship to 2015 big man Stephen Zimmerman.  Zimmerman, a five star recruit that is ranked by many as one of the top three players in the nation (Rivals and 247Sports), is picking up offer after offer from many big-name schools now that he’s eligible to be recruited by them.  I mean, Louisville offered him a scholarship as soon as possible (basically) after seeing him perform so well at Top 100 Camp.  Zimmerman’s recruitment will definitely be highly-touted and highly-followed throughout next season, as many teams are looking to add this skilled 7’0″ center to their roster.

Zimmerman is from Nevada, and attends Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.  You’ve probably heard of that high school before, seeing as it has produced a number of good basketball players over the years like Shabazz Muhammad and CJ Watson, as well as a number of good football players like Demarco Murray (but that’s beside the point).

Recruitment of Zimmerman will be tough with all the other teams that offered him (Kentucky, Kansas, UConn, Arizona, Notre Dame, Ohio State, UCLA, Texas, UNLV, St. John’s, etc.), but you’ve gotta know the uphill trend and program prestige for the Cards will be a factor.  We still have a whole year left to speculate where he’ll end up, but until then, watch some highlights of this outstanding recruit:
