Detric Dukes, a 3-star linebacker from Georgia, committed to Louisville in mid April of this year, sparking the attention of many other schools who want this player that’s full of potential. Unfortunately for Louisville, one of those teams who had their interests spark was Dukes’ in-state powerhouse the Georgia Bulldogs.
Sadly, Dukes has received an offer a few days ago from the Georgia Bulldogs after visiting with them for the second time after he’d already committed to UofL. Now, this shouldn’t come as any surprise, but it does have many Louisville fans worried about Dukes possibly flipping his commitment to Georgia, as many are saying. I mean, almost instantly afterwards, the folks who do Crystal Ball Predictions at 247sports are predicting that Dukes will, in fact, commit to Georgia. In addition to this, Dukes has also been retweeting many UGA fans on twitter that are saying things about how great he would be for the Bulldogs.
The worst part of all of this is that Dukes may very well de-commit from UofL. If he does, it obviously wouldn’t be great for the Cards recruiting class, but they can certainly pick up the slack with other quality LBs like Henry Famurewa. His decision is very much anticipated by Louisville and Georgia fans alike, and if he does pick UGA, best of luck to him. We shouldn’t be angry at him if he does, because he’s making the decision he thinks is best for him.
I will be talking to 2014 ILB Prospect Detric Dukes between 3-4 today. Big news could be coming for #UGA
