Louisville Offers 2015 OLB Darrin Kirkland Jr.

Just a few hours ago, it was reported that 2015 outside linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. received a scholarship offer from the University of Louisville.  Kirkland Jr. is a 4-star OLB from Indianapolis, IN, and is 6’2″ and weighs about 215 lbs.  At the moment, the 2015 recruiting time slot is still in its early stages, so not too much is known, but he is currently rated as the best player in that class by 247sports, as well as being the 3rd-best ILB in the nation.

He was in Louisville on June 15th for a Louisville camp, at which time he was said to have made known his interest in Louisville.  Kirkland Jr. also has offers from Akron and Toledo, as well as interest shown by Ohio State, Purdue, Indiana, and Cincinnati.  He’s also had an unofficial visit to OSU, as well as attending camps at IU, OSU, and Cincinnati.
