Peyton Siva Drafted By the Detroit Pistons

Today, Peyton Siva took the next step in his fantastic career in basketball and was drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the 56th pick in the NBA Draft.  This is terrific news for Peyton Siva, as he’s worked so hard to get to this point, and now it’s all paying off.

The Pistons are definitely lacking in the guard department, having as their guards:  Will Bynum, Jose Calderon, Kim English, Brandon Knight, Kyle Singler, and Rodney Stuckey.  Needless to say, Detroit is a great fit for Siva.  He has such an opportunity to get playing time there that he couldn’t get at most places.  He’ll certainly have plenty of opportunities to prove how good he is.  And on a lesser note, it’ll be weird to see him wear a number that isn’t three, as that is Rodney Stuckey’s number.  We’ll see how it works out.

Siva had a great career with Louisville and is one of the best to ever wear the Louisville uniform.  It’s sad to see him and Gorgui leave, but it’s good to know that he’s moving on to greater steps in his career.  I know Louisville fans will ALWAYS support him in the NBA.

And here’s just a little look at what could be:
