Louisville Gets a Commitment from a 4-Star Linebacker

Boy oh boy what a week for Louisville recruiting.  I don’t want it to end.  That’s mainly because the week keeps getting better and better.  The news today was terrific because of the fact that it was announced that James Hearns, a 4-star linebacker, committed to the University of Louisville.

Hearns, a 6’3″, 235 pound linebacker, is ranked in the top 30 in Florida by 247Sports and Rivals.  That’s right, he’s from Florida.  I just can’t state enough how well the Cards’ staff is recruiting Florida.  It’s fantastic.  Florida is one of the big three states in terms of football talent, and I don’t care how well UK is recruiting Ohio, FL>OH.

That’s right, Hearns was once committed to UK.  That just makes the commitment so much sweeter.  Hearns also turned down offers from Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Florida State.  Talk about a highly sought-after recruit.
