Louisville's Wonderful Recruiting Week

Over the past week, Louisville has been tearing it up on the recruiting trail; earning commitments from recruit after recruit.  Obviously this spells only good news for the Cards, and just in case you missed any of the commitments, below is a run down of all the recruits that committed this week in both basketball and football.  NOTE:  All commits are from the class of 2014.

JaQuan Lyle:

  • Only basketball commit of the week.
  • Five star point guard.
  • From Evansville, Indiana.  Attends Bosse High School
  • Considered one of the best players in the 2014 class; turned down offers from Indiana, Florida, and Tennessee.
  • Close friends with AAU teammate Trey Lyles, a PF whose decision could be heavily influenced by Lyle’s.

Daniel Gresham:

  • Four star running back/fullback.
  • From Fort Worth, Texas.  Attends All Saints Episcopal.
  • Considered the best fullback in the class of 2014.
  • Turned down offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, Mizzou, and Ole Miss.
  • Committed on 6/24

Zykiesis Cannon:

  • Three star corner back.
  • From Greenville, South Carolina.  Attends Carolina High School.
  • Turned down offers from Boston College, East Carolina, Charlotte, and Appalachian State.
  • Committed on 6/24

Rashawn Shaw:

  • Three star defensive end.
  • From Fort Pierce, Florida.  Attends Fort Pierce Central High School.

Daniel Burns:

  • Committed on 6/27

LJ Scott:

  • Three star fullback.
  • From Marion, Ohio.  Attends Harding High School.
  • Considered to be the second-best fullback in the country.  Louisville has a MONOPOLY (which is a far more advanced, complex, and intellectual game than Yahtzee) on fullbacks.
  • Turned down offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
  • Committed on 6/28

Cameron Polk:

  • Three star wide receiver.
  • From Fishers, Indiana.  Attends Hamilton Southeastern High School.

  • Committed on 6/28
