As of now, Louisville has the 12th-best football recruiting class in 2014, according to Rivals.com. Of all the recruits in that class, they’re spread out from multiple different states. One of the biggest states for Louisville recruiting is Florida, which is one of the main three hotbed states for football talent.
When it comes to their home state, the Louisville Cardinals only have one 2014 commit, the dual-threat quarterback Reggie Bonnafon. Bonnafon is a 3-star QB from Trinity High School and is considered the third-best recruit in the state of Kentucky by ESPN. At the moment, Louisville still has an offer extended to Matt Elam, a 4-star DT from Elizabethtown.
Like in Kentucky, Louisville also only has one commit from the talent-filled state of Texas. That lone commit is the nation’s best fullback, the 4-star Daniel Gresham. Gresham is form Fort Worth and is a power rusher, able to power through and shed blocks. One of Louisville’s best 2014 commits for sure. Louisville has offers extended to two other Texans, 4-star safety John Bonney (Houston, TX), and the other is to 4-star guard Demetrius Knox (Fort Worth, TX).
