Throughout the summer, Louisville Recruiting has been some of the most focused-on news regarding Louisville Athletics. Some great recruiting news was heard today that WASN’T on the football or basketball end, however. It was BASEBALL. Normally I wouldn’t focus too much on baseball recruiting, but this story was just too great to pass up.
Flash back to last fall. Devin Hairston, a shortstop from Lexington, KY, and a player for Tates Creek High School, commits to Kentucky. This is great news for the Wildcats, as Hairston is rated as the state’s sixth-best prospect. But after that commitment, he began to start re-evaluating his choices.
Flash forward to today. Hairston made up his mind. He decided to commit to Louisville, following the beginning of a new contact period, in which Louisville utilized their resources and were able to land him. Great news for the Cards, as Hairston is a great future prospect and should do pretty well.
Had heard rumblings but per cardinal authority it is now official. Top 100 baseball player SS Devin Hairston has flipped to UofL. #Cards
