Two UofL Running Backs on Doak Walker Watch List

Minutes ago, the watch list was released for the Doak Walker Award, and two Louisville running backs had their names on it.  Dominique Brown and Senorise Perry, both of whom had season-ending injuries last year, had their names on a list with some of the nation’s top running backs.

The Dominique Brown selection is no surprise, as basically every starter from every AQ-conference team is on these lists, but I guess the real surprise (if you could call a watch list selection a surprise) is the selection of Senorise Perry.  His ACL injury in last season’s game against Syracuse left Louisville without a rushing game for the latter half of the year, but his possible return for the Ohio game has many excited.  He’s questionable for the matchup against the Bobcats, but if he still only misses one game, that’ll be fantastic progress for injuries that usually take a year, not eight months, to heal.

Full watch list can be found here.
