Months ago, a new app came out for the iPhone called “Fancred”. I had seen so many things about it, and decided to download it. It quickly became an app that I frequent very often, and with good reason. It’s a sports-based app that allows you to post updates, pictures, videos, links, and check-in at various sporting events and such, all while building your “fancred” (I am currently at 17; founder Landon Howell is at 72). Personally, I find it even more useful than Twitter, as all posts are involving sports.
Now, Fancred is on a mission to get three students from various schools across the country to join them as “College Ambassadors”. Below is the description of the College Ambassador Program, straight from Fancred.com:
Fancred will be selecting three passionate students at select universities across the country. Students will lead on-campus efforts, growing the Fancred community for their fanbase.
Fancred launchedin March of this year with the mission to Make Gameday Everyday. Since then Fancred has seen tremendous growth, especially among college students. Now, Fancred wants to find the top fanbase in each conference across the country.
Each Brand Ambassador will be active in the Fancred app in order to build their school’s Fancred community, provide support for fans of their school, and give weekly updates to Fancred staff.
If you’re a UofL Student and are excited about this opportunity, apply here. Also, I urge you to download the Fancred app. There isn’t a large enough Louisville following on there, when it’s compared to the sheer numbers of Auburn and Mississippi State fans. I’d love to see that community grow.
