Week 12 was all about the defense and the power running game as the Louisville Cardinals used both to defeat the Houston Cougars Saturday, 20-13. Up next is a noon kickoff at home versus Memphis. At 9-1, here is a look at where the Cards rank in the updated NCAA statistics.

Louisville is 1st in first downs defense (131); 2nd in total defense (238.8) and passing yards allowed (161.2); 3rd in team passing efficiency defense (98.40); 4th in team passing efficiency (178.27); 5th in red zone defense (0.643); 12th in red zone offense (0.913); 15th in passing offense (316.0); and 27th in total offense (466.3).
