Pitino's Cardinals land Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell announced tonight on twitter while on his visit that he is committed to the University of Louisville.  Mitchell who currently sits at 36 on 24/7 sports rankings and only 83rd in their composite had a great July and is expected to make a huge jump in everyone’s rankings.  Donovan Mitchell performed well all summer against great competition and adds to what is shaping up to be one of the best recruiting classes Pitino has put together at Louisville.  Mitchell joins forwards Dang Adel and Raymond Spalding in the 2015 class.  Not only is this group talented but they also exemplify the Louisville first mentality that Coach Pitino has etched in his basketball team.  Louisville has likely sealed their spot in the top 5 in the recruiting rankings with the three players currently in the class, but will likely look to add another guard before it is all said and done;  regardless of whether that happens or not, Louisville doesn’t look to slow down as competition stiffens in the ACC.
