Let’s take a look at the offense for Louisville football.

The expectations were all over the place for the Louisville football offense in year one (or year zero as some deemed it) under new head coach Scott Satterfield.

Satterfield was the man chosen to get a once-rising program back on track after a 2-10 season threatened to demolish all the progress made since the jump to the ACC in 2014, and boy did he do just that.

While being hailed for his ability to cultivate and establish a culture focused on playing hard and winning the right ways, Satterfield also brought to Louisville a  high-speed, entertaining spread-option offense from Appalachian State that was bound to produce new stars who once looked like afterthoughts playing for Bobby Petrino.

We knew there was enough talent on the roster to give Satt arguably his most talented offense from a player perspective, that it gave us hope that things could get back on track sooner rather than later.

Now, in a second-year under Satterfield, Louisville football fans are hoping that the Cardinals can remain ahead of the curve. However, there are still plenty of issues and inconsistencies that should give fans pause.

Still, what if things continue to improve leaps and bounds in 2020? It’s not out of the realm of possibility. The Cardinals offense returns most of its starters, and that could be enough to keep thing going full speed ahead.

That’s why we are giving our not-so-crazy predictions for the 2020 season.

These are things that are unlikely to happen, but based on where the Cardinals offense projects next season, these positive predictions could be on the horizon.
