Tutu Atwell – 1,100 receiving yards

Tutu Atwell made 1,000 yards look easy last season, becoming the first Louisville football receiver to surpass that mark since Harry Douglas in 2007. Hitting and surpassing 1,200 yards didn’t look too difficult for Atwell either, as he finished his sophomore season with 1,272 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, including finishing first in the ACC and 16th nationally in yardage.

In year three, Atwell shouldn’t have any problem once again surpassing 1,100 yards receiving and could even get up to the 1,2500 to 1,300 yard range when it’s all said and done. It’s clear he has great rapport with quarterback Micale Cunningham, and with his speed advantage there won’t be many defenses that can cover him.

Presley – Over

College football is chalk full of talented pass-catchers in 2020, but Atwell might be the most dynamic.

He has legitimate 4.2 speed and the coaching staff thinks that he is becoming a more polished route-runner on the heels of a record-breaking season last year.

Atwell picked up a lot of his yardage last year on quick-pitches, end-arounds, and plays across the middle.

Where he should thrive in 2020 is as a deep-play threat. Now that the Cards have two legitimate speedsters behind Atwell in Braden Smith and Jordan Watkins, they can much more liberally take shots downfield.

Atwell could be primed for a monster season this year- 1,100 yards should be attainable.
