2. Sananda Fru
The Cardinal big man will need to be a dominant presence in the paint Saturday afternoon to limit the Hoosiers’ scoring. Minnesota beat Indiana by allowing only 26 points in the paint and limiting its shooting to 40 percent. Fru is averaging over a block a game and will need to continue this dominant streak on Saturday.
Fru isn’t only a destructive force on defense, but can be a key piece to the Cardinal offense. Fru is averaging 10.4 points on a very impressive 75 percent shooting. He doesn’t shoot the ball a lot, but when he does, it’s almost guaranteed to go in.
The big man is the perfect mix of offense and defense that the Cardinals need to win games. Fru will have to keep this efficient play up, and if he can, Indiana will have a hard time controlling him.
