3. Louisville continues to live by the 3-point line

The Cardinals continue to live and die from the 3-point line, finishing with 13 3-pointers. Louisville's ability to shoot from beyond the arc is a key reason why this team just snapped its three-game losing streak to Kentucky. Louisville has multiple players that the defense can't leave open, and tonight, Louisville capitalized. Mikel Brown Jr. not only demonstrated his lethal ability from beyond the arc, but he is also an excellent playmaker who can attack the rim and kick to an open player for a three-pointer.

The Cardinals were playing a bit out of control at times, but they are a team that plays fast and loves to shoot from beyond the arc, especially in transition. Louisville ended the first half with seven 3-pointers and really set the tone for the game. The Cards finished the game with 13 3-pointers, and showed they are not shy from letting the rock fly from downtown.

Conwell finished with four 3-pointers, with Brown Jr. and McKneely finishing with three. Louisville is an excellent 3-point shooting team, as they shot 32.5 percent tonight, while splashing multiple 3's in crucial situations. The Cards are going to live and die from the 3-point line, and their ability to shoot it stretches out the floor, causing this offense to be one of the best in the nation.
