We take a look at where 247 Sports currently has Louisville basketball’s 2017 recruiting class among the ten best classes.

The Louisville basketball team already has two great wins over Kentucky and Indiana this season, but it’s their 2017 recruiting class that’s making us excited. Rick Pitino and his staff have been doing a great job of pulling in some big-time players that will add size and shooting to his 2017 team.

Hopefully, this will be the class that will help Louisville get another National Championship banner that will hang in the Yum Center.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the teams in the top ten and where Louisville is ranked among them:

1. Kentucky Wildcats

There really shouldn’t be any surprise here that Kentucky has the best recruiting class for the 2017 season. John Calipari is just bringing in top recruits like it’s nothing. Next season’s recruiting class is shaping up to be just as good as it has been in the past.

Here are three of their top recruits, according to 247 Sports:

  1. Nick Richards: 5 Star, Center
  2. P.J. Washington: 5 Star, Power Forward
  3. Jarred Vanderbilt 5 Star, Small Forward

It looks as though Calipari is attempting to bring in more size for his team next season. All three of those guys are at least 6-foot-8 and will add another deadly dimension to their basketball team.

With that being said, their recruiting is always dictated by who will be leaving their current roster. I expect they will have a lot of spots to fill going into 2017.
