What Louisville football players are undervalued on offense?

We are inside of 100 days left until Louisville football kicks off its 2020 season.

While we are going to catch up on defense a lot more in the coming weeks, we wanted to first address who Cardinals fans can be looking forward to emerging on offense during the 2020 season.

The Cardinals return the bulk of their production on offense from last season. Stars Tutu Atwell and Javian Hawkins are back in the fold after record-breaking seasons. Quarterback Micale Cunningham hopes to remain healthy and keep the forward momentum rolling after a sensational back half of the 2019 season. Even veteran receiver Dez Fitzpatrick and All-ACC back-up running back Hassan Hall return.

Everything is in the works for the Cardinals to have a fantastic year two on offense under “schematic asshole” Scott Satterfield.

Who are Louisville football’s underrated offensive players?

But, who are some underrated players for Louisville football entering 2020? The Cardinals are looking to replace graduated senior receiver Seth Dawkins, who had a consistent four-year career. Additionally, the 11th overall pick in the NFL draft, left tackle Mekhi Becton, and Cardinals right tackle Tyler Haycraft are on to bigger and better things.

Who will step up on offense for the Cards, and who is being overlooked heading into the season? Could it be an incoming freshman, a consistent depth chart guy, or even a player who had a solid season last year but is not getting his due?

Additionally, Alex Stengel and I break down the Louisville offensive line depth chart and discuss who can fill the gaps from last season. Will replacing Mekhi Becton be accomplished using a full team effort under second-year offensive coordinator Dwayne Ledford, or is someone going to step up and be Ledford’s next protege.

Plus, Alex, as always, comes with some awesome stats that illustrate just how lethal Louisville football’s offense could be in 2020.
