Will Noah Waterman be a reliable shooter or will his inconsistency continue?
Noah Waterman is a senior out of Savannah, N.Y., and well isn't afraid to shoot. The 6-foot-11 forward shoots 25.9% from downtown, and shoots on average around four threes a game and makes only one.
From the field, he is shooting 34.5%, and is not any better from the charity strip as he shoots 37.5% from the free-throw line. He averages nearly a turnover a game and scores just 5.6 points a game with 3.5 rebounds.
Now, look, the Cardinals forward has shown spurts of potential and the ability to shoot. Back in December, before his hand injury, Waterman had a three-game stretch of scoring 12, 15, and 12 points again. He splashed nine threes in the window and was a valuable rotational player. However, since his injury, he is 6/22 from downtown, which is a depressing 27.2%.
From the field as a whole, it isn't any better as most his shots are from beyond the arc, he has shot 9/27 from the court, which is 33.3%. So, if Waterman can shoot at a reasonable split, then he has potential to be valuable, but if these shooting woes continue, it might be best to go to James Scott and Khani Rooths.
