Louisville football took a major Transfer Portal hit last night, as the Cardinals' already-thin wide receiver room lost a key wide receiver from last season. Antonio Meeks announced he will enter the portal this offseason after spending the last two seasons with Louisville. Before Meeks was a Cardinal, he logged 74 catches for 1,437 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns at Tuskegee.

Then, with Louisville, he took a step this past season, catching 17 passes for 189 yards and one touchdown. The Cardinals fans were hoping Meeks would stay, as Louisville has now lost its top seven receivers from the 2025 season. Meeks is the fifth receiver to enter the portal, joining Bobby Golden, Eli Adams, TreyShun Hurry, and Kris Hughes.

The Cardinals fans thought the dominoes were beginning to fall their way for the wide receiver position as they landed three receivers in two days, including 4-star transfer Tre Richardson. However, now with Meeks making Louisville’s thin wide receiver room even thinner, the Cardinals' No. 1 area of need at the moment is clearly its wide receiver room.

With Louisville adding Lincoln Kienholz as its next star quarterback, the Cardinals need to ensure they give him the weapons to succeed. So, with the Transfer Portal open for just one more week, here are two dream, two reach, and two realistic targets for Louisville after Antonio Meeks enters the portal.
