Someone Louisville has been in contact with is the Syracuse transfer, Darrell Gill Jr. The Cardinals fans learned Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow contacted Gill back on January 4, putting the Cards in a massive recruiting battle, as it was reported that over 28 schools reached out. Of those 28 teams, programs like Kentucky, Miami, Oregon, Texas, Texas Tech, Indiana, Ole Miss, and more Power Four teams reached out.
Gill was one of Syracuse’s top receivers the past two years, as he caught 31 passes for 570 yards and two touchdowns in the 2024 season and followed it up by earning 32 receptions for 506 yards and five touchdowns this past season. Throughout his three seasons with Syracuse, he secured 70 catches for 1,136 yards and eight touchdowns.
