6. Dream: Miles Byrd
With Rooths entering the Transfer Portal, Pat Kelsey must find a way to get a physical forward who can not only score but also play defense. A perfect dream target to replace Rooths with is San Diego transfer and one of the top defenders in college basketball, Miles Byrd.
The 4-star transfer is coming off a dominant season with the Aztecs, as he averaged an impressive stat line of 10.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 40.5 percent from the field. He was the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year after he logged at least two steals and two blocks in six games this past season and had three steals or more in 11 games.
He is now one of the top players in the portal, ranking No. 2 overall and No. 1 among shooting guards and small forwards.
