4. Realistic: Brant Byers

Miami (Ohio) RedHawks had a year to remember, going 32-2, including a win over SMU in a First Four game in the NCAA Tournament. When looking at who Louisville could add to replace Rooths, it wouldn’t be shocking if Kelsey looks at Miami (Ohio) transfer Brant Byers.

The 4-star transfer can stretch the floor as he splashed 69 3’s this past season for the RedHawks at a high rate of 39.2 percent. He fits Kelsey’s style of play, shooting 40.1 percent from beyond the arc in his college career, and he has the height at 6-foot-8 and the size at 200 pounds to play small forward. In the NCAA Tournament, he showed he can compete with ACC schools, scoring 19 points on 46 percent shooting from the field and 44.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc after making four 3’s against SMU.

Byers is a realistic target for Kelsey and the Cardinals, and right now, he ranks as a 4-star transfer after averaging 14.2 points and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 47.8 percent from the field. He ranks as high as No. 5 among small forwards and No. 44 overall in the Transfer Portal.
