4. Realistic - Jamir Watkins

It was reported on Tuesday that the Cardinals are one of three teams in the mix for the 5-star transfer. Jamir Watkins is a unanimous top 10 player in the transfer portal, and the Cardinals emerge as an early front runner. On3 Sports reported that the Cardinals, Kentucky, and Illinois are three schools in the mix for the talented 6 foot 7, 210-pound small forward transfer from Florida State.

Last season for the Seminoles, he averaged 18.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting 43 percent from the field and 32 percent from beyond the arc. The senior would provide some experience for this Caridnals elite roster, and he would be Louisville's missing puzzle piece. He would be a great option to stretch the floor and also have the craft to attack the rim off the dribble.

In his final year with Florida State, he scored 20 points or more in 12 games, including his season-high 30-point performance against Rice. In his two games against Louisville, he put on two excellent performances, scoring 25 and 23 points in the two contests.

Watkins is listed as a shooting guard and is now the No. 1 shooting guard per On3 Sports, but he would easily be able to play the small forward and bump J'Vonne Hadley to the bench. Watkins is ranked as the No. 5 best player to enter the portal, making it seem clear that the Cardinals must go all-in on this 5-star transfer.
