The Cardinals are all-in on landing that first wide receiver from the Transfer Portal, and a name many Louisville football fans have gotten familiar with is UAB transfer Iverson Hooks. With Isaac Brown and Lincoln Kienholz committing to the Cardinals, a star wide receiver is hopefully coming soon from Jeff Brohm.
Louisville is in a recruiting battle with Indiana, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, LSU, Auburn, and Oregon for the UAB transfer. The Cardinals earned an early visit from Hooks, as the star receiver is now finishing up his visits with the other six programs. The redshirt junior has earned 72 catches for 927 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns in 2025, including 11 catches for 172 yards and three touchdowns against No. 22 Memphis at the time.
Louisville was one of the first teams to earn a visit from Hooks, and now they will wait to see if they can find a way to steal this elite WR over big-time programs like Indiana and Oregon. Hooks ranks as the No. 170 player in the portal and the No. 35 wide receiver.
