5. Reach- Treysen Eaglestaff
Treysen Eaglestaff is one of the top players in this year's transfer portal. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard is transferring out of North Dakota as the high-scoring wing averaged 18.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting 41.9 percent from the floor and 35.9 percent from the 3-point line.
Eaglestaff had a monster 2024-25 season, dropping 13 games with 20 points or more, five games with 25 points or more, and then a 31-point performance against Utah Valley, a 40-point performance against No. 6 Alabama, and a 51-point performance against South Dakota State.
Signing Eaglestaff will be extremely challenging as he has already heard from at least 24 schools, per Joe Tipton. The game against Alabama put him on many scouts' radars, as he dropped 40 points on a team currently in the Sweet 16. In his career-defining match, he finished with 40 points, two rebounds, one assist, and two steals while shooting 50 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from the 3-point line.
He would become Louisville basketball's potential second or third scorer, next to Mikel Brown Jr., Eaglestaff, who demonstrated last season that he is someone who can score off the dribble or off the catch at a high rate. Landing Eaglestaff will be a bit of a reach, but Pat Kelsey has shown he can work miracles. Eaglestaff should definitely be a player on the Cardinal's radar and try to reach out immediately.
