Realistic: Cole Cloer

Someone who recently just entered the Transfer Portal is a 2026 North Carolina State commitment, Cole Cloer. The former Wolfpack commit entered the portal after Will Wade left NC State for LSU, and now he is officially back on the market.

Louisville was once in the running for Cloer during his recruiting process, and with his availability again, it could be a possible target for Pat Kelsey. Louisville was once in Cloer’s final eight before he cut the list down to five and ultimately committed to North Carolina State.

Cloer ranked as high as No. 25 in the 2026 recruiting class and No. 10 among small forwards after the 6-foot-8, 185-pound forward averaged 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. He now ranks as high as No. 43 overall and No. 6 among small forwards in the Transfer Portal.
