Dream: Somto Cyril
Louisville basketball fans have made it clear they want a big man who can take over on both ends of the floor and play some physical basketball. One of the top centers in the portal is Georgia transfer Somto Cyril, and he emerges as the exact player Louisville needs.
He is an athletic center who can run up and down the floor in Pat Kelsey’s fast-paced offense, but he also impacts the game. On the offensive end, the 6-foot-11, 260-pound center averaged 9.3 points and 2.4 offensive rebounds and shot 76 percent from the floor. He is an elite lob threat as he rolls to the rim hard and sets big screens.
On the defensive end, he was one of the best rim protectors in college basketball last season. He averaged 2.2 rebounds per game, ranking No. 16 in Division I, and earned 74 total blocks, ranking No. 17 in Division I. Louisville would love to add a player like Cyril who has a dominant paint prescense, he won’t be an easy addition ranking No. 11 overall in the portal and No. 2 among centers, but he is certainly a dream target for now.
