Louisville basketball has already received some good news from On3 Sports' Joe Tipton regarding the 4-star transfer Jackson Shelstad. The well-known college basketball insider reported that Louisville is one of two early teams to keep an eye on regarding Shelstad.
Now, as the portal is set to open tomorrow, the Cards fans are hoping Pat Kelsey can find a way to land another elite portal guard. The Oregon transfer is a former 5-star who committed to Oregon over Kansas, Houston, Florida, and many other big-time programs. He ranked as high as No. 24 in the 2023 cycle and No. 6 among point guards.
He now ranks No. 8 overall and No. 2 among point guards after he played in just 12 games last season, after suffering a season-ending injury. Last season, he averaged 15.6 points, 4.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game, and the year prior, he averaged 13.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.
