2. Rising: Ryan Conwell

The MVP of the preseason was Ryan Conwell. The Xavier transfer showed Louisville fans that they are getting a pure bucket getter, and if the Cardinals need a bucket, they should get the ball to Conwell, who has a high chance of scoring.

He was a bit out of control against Kansas as he shot just 33 percent from the field and 25 percent from beyond the arc, but still finished with 26 points. Against Bucknell, he showed his ability to distribute the ball and playmake for others while taking much more comfortable shots. Conwell finished with 15 points, but shot much better, hitting 55 percent from the field and 57 percent from beyond the arc.

R.C. is one of the best players in college basketball, and through the two preseason games, the Cards fans see that he is worth the hype. He has a real shot at leading Louisville in points per game this year, and with the regular season hours away, he is trending in the right direction.
