4. Must Watch: Ole Miss Rebels
Obviously, a Week 1 game is a must-watch, but this season, the Cardinals have a massive showdown on Labor Day Weekend against the Ole Miss Rebels. After an impressive Final Four run in the College Football Playoffs, Ole Miss will turn to the Louisville Cardinals in a huge SEC/ACC showdown in Nashville.
Louisville will likely have to face star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, as it is trending that the NCAA will allow him another year of eligibility. The Cardinals and Rebels have only played once, and it was back in 2021 when Ole Miss defeated Louisville 43-21 in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.
Now, these two teams will square off once again, both with high expectations entering the 2026 season. Ole Miss is ranked as high as No. 5 in Fox’s way-too-early rankings, and Louisville is ranked as high as No. 14 in ESPN’s way-too-early rankings. There are still plenty of days before this game, but this is one Louisville game fans can’t miss.
