A Background On Zeke Pike
By James Stotts
Let me put it this way, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should know that Zeke Pike is heading to Louisville. I’ve researched this kid and compiled as much info as I could, to share a brief profile with you guys.
Zeke Pike is a native from Edgewood, Kentucky and went to Dixie Hights high school.
Pike originally came out of high school as a four-star quarterback. On April 20, 2011, Pike committed to Auburn. He also held offers from Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, LSU, and a host of others.
Even with his talent, when Pike got on campus, he had many issues off the field. In June of 2012, Zeke Pike was arrested for public intoxication. He was also kicked out of a 7-on-7 tournament in the 2011 for rifling a ball at an official, and was suspended for Dixie Heights’ playoff loss in his senior season. On August 1, 2011, Zeke Pike was dismissed from the Auburn football team.
Zeke Pike will have to sit out at Louisville, until the 2013 season, because he was already enrolled at Auburn. Another interesting twist, Zeke Pike will play tight end at Louisville. We’ll see how that position change works out.
Hopefully that lets you know Zeke Pike a little more. Best wishes from Big Red Louie, as he has his second chance at Louisville.
