One of the most popular sports games in existence is EA’s NCAA Football Series. In the latest installment in the franchise (NCAA 14), the ratings for every team has been released, as well as the rating for the top 15 rated players.
As you can guess, I immediately opened the Kegsneggsblog.com article and hit “CTRL+F” and typed in “Louisville.” I found the following ratings: Overall, 90; Offense, 93; Defense, 88. I think that it’s a very accurate representation of Louisville and have no qualms about it.
I also went and looked at the player ratings because, well, Teddy Bridgewater. As just about anyone could have guessed, the star UofL QB was rated in the top 15 (number 9 to be exact) with a rating of 96 overall. The article from Tradition Sports Online also goes far enough to explain specific ratings for the QB:
"It’s almost undeniable, when he is healthy, Teddy Bridgewater is one of the most exciting players to watch in college football. While he is more quick (84 Acceleration, 89 Agility) than fast (80 Speed), he is strong in the pocket and avoids the pass rush well. Teddy’s arm is very strong (93 Throw Power) and he doesn’t seem to lose a ton of placement (92 Throw Accuracy) when he reaches back to fire the ball."
Ninety-six is a pretty lofty number, but I think we can all agree it’s appropriate. In case you were wondering, South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney (DE) is the game’s best player with a 99 overall rating. Alabama is literally a perfect team in this game, with a 99 rating in overall, offense, and defense.
I for one will be buying this game and I hope you will as well. Also, I’ll be having an online dynasty for ps3 as well when the game is released on July 9th. Tell your ps3 friends and comment below or mention me on twitter if you’re interested. And if Bridgewater has a great season, hopefully he’ll be eligible for the NCAA Cover Vote. I think I’d frame that one and leave the case empty if that happens.
*Also, Kentucky was rated 84 overall, 84 in offense, and 83 in defense.
