Wayne Gallman is one of the best running backs in the entire country. According to ESPN, Gallman had an incredible 2015 season, rushing for 1,527 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was not named to the preseason All-ACC team this year, but he is easily one of the best running backs in the ACC, heading into the 2016 season.

Gallman will be a major factor on a Clemson team that is looking to get back to the National Championship. He is also a force in the passing game, as he has good hands out of the backfield and can take the ball the distance. Linebackers have to be aware of where he is at all times.

Louisville will need to do a better job against Gallman this season if they want a shot at beating Clemson. Gallman rushed for 139 yards against the Cardinals in their 2015 match-up at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium.

Here are some of the honors he earned in 2015, according to Clemson Athletics’ website:

  • First-team All-ACC
  • Co-recipient of Bank of America Hamilton Offensive MVP along with Deshaun Watson
  • 1,740 yards from scrimmage were most by any player in Clemson history, passing C.J. Spiller’s record of 1,715 in 2009
