If there is one player that Louisville has struggled mightly against, it’s Dalvin Cook. The 5-foot-11 running back is probably the best back in the entire country. There are few people who would disagree with that statement.

Cook has been huge for the Seminoles through his career at Florida State. In 2015, Cook rushed for an amazing 1,691 yards and 19 touchdowns, according to ESPN. He is an absolute force to be reckoned with on the football field and it showed last season.

Florida State had a great season last year, going 10-3 in a year where they were “rebuilding”. In last season’s 41-21 beat down of Louisville, Cook rushed for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. It’s clear that Louisville may have a problem shutting down Cook again in 2016.

Here are some preseason accolades of Cooks’ according to Florida State’s Athletic website:

  • 2016 Heisman Trophy Candidate
  • 2016 All-America Candidate
  • 2016 Maxwell Award & Doak Walker Award Candidate
