Louisville football: 15 players to watch in the Charlotte game
By Derek Snyder
Larry Ogunjobi is going to be a guy who will give Louisville’s offensive line problems. If the Cardinals’ offensive line has improved as much as they say they have, pressure on the quarterback shouldn’t be an issue. They should be able to contain Ogunjobi.
He is arguably their best player on defense and he has proven that by being a smart football player and a great leader.
Here is what Charlotte Athletics had to say about Ogunjobi:
"Second Team all-Conference USA in 2015 … Only active player that has started all 34 games … shares record of 34 starts with OL Danny Book … career leader in tackles (152), TFL (35.3), sacks (10.0) and QB hurries (23) … single-season leader in TFL (14.5, 2015) and sacks (5.0, 2014) … was the first player to wear the honorary #49 jersey (vs. Campbell, Aug., 31, 2013) … Signed with the 49ers on Feb. 1, 2012 as a member of the 49ers first-ever recruiting class … dubbed “C-USA’s Most Interesting Man” by SB Nation (Feb., 2016)."
With his big frame at 6-foot-3 and 297 pounds, he will be a good early season test for an improving Louisville offensive line.
