Louisville football: 15 players to watch in the Charlotte game
By Derek Snyder
Fitapatrick was one of the highest rated wide receivers coming into college. The 6-foot-2 wide receiver will quickly become of the best receivers in the ACC. That will, more than likely, not be this season, but it will be well worth the wait.
Due to inexperience last season for the Cardinals, many receivers had the opportunity for playing time. Therefore, Louisville has incredible depth at the receiver position on this year’s team. Fitzpatrick won’t see the field as much as Quick and Staples, but Petrino does have a way of finding ways for Freshman to see the field.
That time may be this early season game against Charlotte. If everything goes as planned, which you know how fast that can change, Fitzpatrick should get some opportunities to see the field. Don’t be surprised if he takes full advantage of his opportunities against the 49ers and works himself into a situational role this season.
Fitzpatrick is going to be special. Be on the lookout for him in this one.
