Louisville football: 5 Cardinals you should target in NFL Fantasy Football
By Derek Snyder
If you haven’t played fantasy football before, then this may be a surprise to you. However, Bridgewater just isn’t on a team that allows him to be one of the best fantasy football players in the NFL.
For example, Bridgewater is coming into his third year in the NFL and has played some solid football for the Vikings as they made the playoffs as Division champions last season. However, his career high in touchdowns in a season is only 14.
That doesn’t translate too well when you are trying to win a fantasy football game every weekend.
It isn’t really Bridgewater’s problem because most of the offense goes through future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson. When the Vikings are in the red zone, Peterson is getting the ball. On third and short, Peterson is getting the ball. When the game is on the line, well, you get the picture by now.
The additon of former Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell should give Bridgewater an opportunity for help getting the ball downfield. The Vikings are going to have to loosen the reigns on Bridgewater if they want to beat the elite teams in the NFL. This may be the year that it happens.
Don’t draft Bridgewater in your drafts until the late rounds.
