Here is our prediction of what the new AP Poll will look like after week 9 of the season:

  1. Alabama: at LSU
  2. Michigan: vs. Maryland
  3. Clemson: Syracuse
  4. Washington: at California
  5. Louisville: at Boston College
  6. Ohio State: vs. Nebraska
  7. Texas A&M: at Mississippi State
  8. Wisconsin: at Northwestern
  9. Nebraska: at Ohio State
  10. Florida: at Arkansas

The Cardinals needed the Utes to find a way to knock off the Huskies this weekend, but that didn’t happen and now we have to hope for a major upset. That was the one game that Washington could have lost and it didn’t happen.

Nebraska should only drop a few spots after a close overtime loss to Wisconsin and the Badgers should also move back into the top ten.

Overall, it was a good weekend for Louisville’s playoff chances. We will see where Louisville stand when the College Football Playoff poll is released on Tuesday night.
