5. Devonte Fields will end the season as Louisville’s sack leader

It hasn’t been the year that anyone had expected from Devonte Fields, as he has not been able to produce any kind of significant numbers in 2016. He missed last week’s game against Virginia and the Cards’ ability to bring down the quarterback took a huge hit.

Teams have focused their blocking on taking Fields out of the game, but that has given fellow linebacker James Hearns more than enough opportunities to sack the quarterback. Going into in game against Boston College, Hearns is leading the Cardinals with 5 sacks, whereas Fields only has two.

However, this final stretch of the season is going to be very important for the rest of Fields’ football career. He was projected to be at the back end of the first round of the next NFL Draft, but his slow season has hurt his stock just a bit.

Fields should turn things around before the season is over and end the season as Louisville’s sack leader.
