1. Transfer Tony Hicks was a little unimpressive in his first game

Tony Hicks has a lot to live up to since Louisville has embraced the fifth-year transfers. Trey Lewis and Damion Lee became instant fan-favorites last year for the Cardinals. Not only were they feel-good stories, but they both helped Louisville win huge games in the 2015-2016 season.

On a team with a ton of young talent, it’s going to be important for Hicks to come in and be a leader. That is one thing that we cannot assess. Only the guys in the locker room can grade him on that, but let’s look at how he did tonight:

Tony Hicks: 15 minutes, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 points

This wasn’t very impressive from Hicks, but again, please don’t jump to conclusions after one exhibition game. The verdict is still out on how we all should feel about him going forward.
