8. Penn State Nittany Lions (8-2)

Penn State has come from being unranked to being in the top ten after only a few weeks. A win against the Ohio State Buckeyes have propelled them into College Football’s elite. With games against Rutgers and Michigan State left, it looks as though they will finish the year at 10-2.

There needs to be a three way tie for the Lions to get into the conference championship, but even a win there wouldn’t send a two loss team into the playoffs.

Therefore, the only way that Penn State will affect Louisville is if they keep winning, Ohio State’s one loss makes the Buckeyes look a little better.

At the end of the day, that won’t matter because the Cards are sitting pretty going into the last two weeks of 2016.
