3. Ohio State Buckeyes (10-1)

Just like with Michigan, if the committee re-evaluates every team, every week, then the Buckeyes should drop one spot because of their poor play against the Michigan State Spartans. They only won by one point, but I guess you never really know where they will be ranked because of the committee’s love for the Big Ten.

Ohio State has a huge game with Michigan next weekend, but even a win won’t send the Buckeyes to the Big Ten Championship game. However, it could give the Buckeyes an opportunity to be the second team from the conference in the playoffs.

If that happens, then Urban Meyer will surely have his team ready to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide, as they could be the fourth ranked team in a few weeks.
