Louisville Basketball: 3 concerns from the Cards’ win over Old Dominion
By Derek Snyder
2. What in the world was going on with Deng Adel?
I think it’s pretty clear that Louisville needs Deng Adel to be at his best for the Cards to be at their best. He couldn’t find his shot against Old Dominion and it made life very hard on the team. That doesn’t mean that everyone else didn’t struggle as well, but the Cardinals cannot afford for Adel to go silent like he did on Wednesday night.
Adel had a very unimpressive stat-line against the Monarchs. He had 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 5 steals in the Cards’ 68-62 win.
One game doesn’t define how a player’s season is going, but Adel has been prone to have a quiet night here and there.
He better figure things out quick if Louisville wants to beat Wichita State on Thanksgiving day.
